I don't know about you girls but I'm a sucker for guys who are in touch with their feelings, especially when it's to cracking music.

Frank Turner has that propitious talent in buckets and spades.

Tape Deck Heart is his new gift to the world in the form of a twelve track. It's in its second week of release and has topped the charts last week reaching number two in the Official Album Chart and number one on iTunes. What an achievement for a punk/folk troubadour who would ask to sleep on fans floors after finishing his set, not too many years ago.

Here is why TDH is such an outstanding album and why you need to become a Frank Turner fan;

His songs are well known for their sing-along factor, because they're relatable, simple and honest. Many of his adoring fans get his lyrics as tattoos. He's very profound and poetic.

He is in his element live. I am a frequent gig goer and Frank Turner is by far, the most impassioned artist I have seen.

This album in particular shows him off handsomely. It's a record dedicated to a breakup, it's pretty heart-rending stuff. It takes you to every level of heartache with songs full of frustration, reflection, regret and self preservation. He's unabashed to go boldly where others fear to tread.

TDH is his most experimental instalment. He puts a different spin on every track, being more obviously playful than ever before. Testing out new styles and fresh ways of delivering the goods.

Lets get Frank to number one 'Officially'.

I believe this album will make him the rock star he deserves to be.
