Restaurant Meal, Food Court Price

Thai cuisines are not too authentic here, but you will get the cheapest Soft Shell Crab Salad freshly fried for you.

Located in Chatswood Westfield Shopping Centre, close to Target and FruitEsy market, we were surprised to find a new Thai restaurant here. With large signage and banner offering a special of the day, we thought we might give it a try.

Walked pass it many times and have always thought it was a Mexican Restaurant with its bright red, green and white interior fit outs.

They have $10.00 specials every day with no time restrictions.

[Mon-Tue is $10 Stir-fry Noodles Day; Wed-Thurs is $10 Whole Fish Day and Fri is $10 Curry Day. Plus there are the New Arrivals $10 dishes!]

Now with so much choices, we have to work out what to get to maximise the value!

We got some stir-fried flat rice noodles with chicken first up. The noodles were freshly wok-fried and still glistening in dark soy sauce. Fragrant and it tasted pretty good at first.

We thought this was a good value $10 meal dish. Four large crispy fried soft shell crab pieces on a bed of fresh Summer salad drizzled with sweet chilli vinegar dressing.

A good large serving and the soft shell crabs just came out of the deep-fryer, so they were all golden and crunchy!

A salad with generous serving of the soft shell crabs like this, would easily fetch up to $17.00 at any other Thai restaurant.

We found the stir-fry noodles a bit too oily as we progressed on.

The quality of the noodle dishes are average here. I would suggest the Khao Pla nearby if you are after a more authentic Thai meal.

I am keen to check out their $10.00 Whole Fish Special. Wonder if they use quality fresh snapper or lower grade fish? We shall find out on Wednesday!

Overall, an easy convenient restaurant to have some affordable lunch or dinner on the North Shore.
