With a wide range different accommodation styles to suit any budget and over 80 tours and activities on offer, some of which are free, Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island is a great destination for a family holiday. Everyday will be a new adventure on this 'natural theme park'; there truly is so much to see and do on Tangalooma Island.
Your holiday begins when you board the passenger ferry service, which departs Holt Street Wharf in Pinkenba, Brisbane and arrives at Tangalooma Jetty on Moreton Island, in just over an hour (75 minutes). This service runs throughout the morning and afternoon, so you can visit Tangalooma Island for a short day trip, a weekend escape or perhaps even a week or two.

On the island you will find the Lucky 7 Resort Shop, a convenience store, a photo shop, the Tangalooma Massage Hut and Beauty Room and Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre. There are four dining options; Beach House Rotunda Restaurant, Tursiops Buffet Restaurant, Beach Cafe and Coffee Shop.

Day cruises are also a popular activity - there are several options to choose from; the Dolphin Adventure Tour includes a wild dolphin feeding experience and sand tobogganing; the Whale Watching Cruise includes presentations and tours from Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre; the Standard Day Cruise also includes presentations and tours from Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre and the Dolphin Feeding Cruise includes a Dolphin behaviour and data collection lecture.

At night, the Cane Lounge hosts special events each evening- regular events include Tanga Trivia Night, Horse Racing Extravaganza, Talent Show, Karaoke, DJ Dance Night, Monster Bingo and Movie Night. To see the daily events - please see the What's On guide, which is updated weekly.
Have been here, stayed for a week and loved the place! However, it turned out to be a very expensive trip. Take food with you because buying food on the island costs a fortune!
