Kids and Babies Markets with something for everyone
The Tamborine Village Kids & Babies Market held at The Bearded Dragon recently celebrated their one year anniversary and in the year since it began it has grown in strength and size.

The Bearded Dragon is in Tamborine in the Gold Coast Hinterland and is a popular stopover for locals, tourist and day trippers.

In amongst all the activities planned in the annual Bearded Dragon calendar you will find the Kids and Baby Markets that are held once every few months.

This is an outdoor market set out on the grassed area near the stage and playground. You will find most stall holders will be set up under a gazebo to protect themselves and their customers from the strong Queensland sun.

In the few times I have visited I have found it to be mainly new baby clothes and gear for sale rather then secondhand goods, although stallholders wanting to sell pre-loved baby gear are more then welcome to apply for a stall.

My husband, children and I enjoy these markets for a few reasons; it is a lovely destination and has something for everyone. Whilst I peruse the stalls my husband is happy to sit near the stage with a drink and to supervise our children in the playground. There are usually some great artists playing on the stage and the music adds a real ambience to the environment.

Past markets have seen a visit from Peppa Pig and the upcoming market on Saturday 14th June, 2014 is set to feature two appearances by Hoot from Giggle and Hoot at 10:30am and 12:30pm. There is also a jumping castle (at an additional cost) for the kids as well.

The markets run from 9am-1pm and entry is free with plenty of free parking onsite as well. An ATM can also be found inside the restaurant so there's no need to worry about running out of money to spend at the markets.

The Bearded Dragon is open for lunch on the day with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, once shopping has been completed you can sit down, have a meal and enjoy the live music.

As the markets are continuing to grow, new stallholders are encouraged to apply. Enquiries can be made either through the Facebook page or contact by phone on 07 5543 6888.
