is located in the beautiful Tamborine Mountain, off Main Western Road. It has been open for about two years since Mark Eddie decided to run a cafe and bistro with a 50s atmosphere.

Inside there are tables armchairs and chairs. The bench with the register, the cabinet and the coffee machine is at one side. There are large windows that allow you to look outside and they left the light come inside.

offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes a large variety of pizza, from Pizza Margherita with a tomato base, fresh herbs, fresh garlic and cheese, to Satay Pizza, with satay sauce base, capsicum, onion, pineapple and topped with satay sauce. There are traditional pizzas, veggie lovers, prawn, pizza bread style and chicken pizza.

specialises also in great pancakes, waffles and burgers.

Main Western Route Burgers includes house-made secret recipe beef pattie with melted Swiss cheese, tomato, grilled onions, crispy cos, chilli pickle and garlic mayo.

is famous for the one foot long pork dawg layered with creamy mac-n-cheese bacon, pickles and shredded cheese.

Fries come in special ways, for example with bacon, topped with homemade chilli beef, spring onions, melted cheese, BBQ sauce and sour cream. All-time favourites include Chicken Schnitzel, Fish and Chips, Vegetable Nachos, Nachos and Grilled Chicken.

There is also a menu for kids. Hot drinks include tea and coffee. Coffee blend is Giancarlo full-flavoured beans. There are traditional hot drinks, hot chocolate, chai latte and iced coffees.

The milkshakes deserve a special mention, made like in the 50s, rich and colourful. Milk Chocolate Milkshake, Strawberry Summer Milkshake, Macadamia Nut Milkshake, Rainbow Milkshake, Cookies and Cream Milkshake.

The Dinashakes include Chocolate Mountain Dinashake, Cookies and Cigar Dinashake, Mad Macca Dinashake and Red Velvet Strawberry Dinashake.

The menu includes fruit smoothies, vegetable smoothies, cold drinks, cocktails, beer, draught on tap, red wine, white wine, and spirits.

As soon as I entered into , I realised the atmosphere of the place was designed to recall the fabulous 50s. Several photos of Elvis Presley, James Dean, Mae West and Buddy Holly were on the walls. Some of the tables had the classic chess pattern red and white.

On the register, there are huge almonds croissants. In the cabinet, there are cakes and slices.

At the back, there is a door that opens up on the verandas with tables and chairs undercover.

I spotted Tamborine Mountain Diner standing at the Tamborine Mountain Information Centre. I was waiting for the group to arrive and then walk for about ten km to find the scarecrows on Tamborine Mountain.

Every year, Tamborine Mountain holds the Scarecrow Festival. Families and business build a scarecrow with different materials representing different characters.

Tamborine Mountain Diner stands out with its red building just off Main Western Road, not far from Tamborine Mountain Information Centre. I needed a caffeinated drink and I decided to visit Tamborine Mountain Diner. The 50s atmosphere call for the nostalgia of the times of the King, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. I ordered my coffee, the service was good and the personnel were friendly. I had time, so I sat down at one of the little tables with the chess red and white and soaked in the ambience. The coffee was very nice and I appreciated my moments in the cafe to relax before the walk.

Then the group started to arrive and I recommend to anyone who needed a coffee.
