As soon as you make your way into the door of Talulah Bar and Restaurant, you are blown away by its eclectic and contemporary décor. It is the small touches that blow you away, like the tiny stack of destiny cards on the bar or the very smart aprons worn by wait staff.
Diners have the choice (on a quieter day of course) to eat either inside or alfresco. Alfresco dining allows fantastic opportunities to people watch and enjoy the gorgeous warmer days and nights. Inside, the cosy tables make for a great location for a meal with close friends or a romantic dinner for two.
Calling the food delicious is an understatement! Talulah's staple menu includes many tasty dishes that make you want to come back time and time again. Each meal time has a distinct character at Talulah.
The breakfast menu caters for anything from light muesli to an amazing big breakfast that would work wonders for those dusty Sunday hangover's. The lunch menu boasts scrumptious steak or chicken burgers as well as salads, pasta and Spanish pizzas called piadinis. At dinner time, guests can enjoy some tasty dishes from the Tapas menu or decide to enjoy a main instead (as well as dessert of course, which are all made in house). Cape grim sirloin cooked to perfection is a winner and so is the confit lamb shoulder. The roast pumpkin salad is an absolute personal favourite.
In addition to this, I would absolutely have to recommend the thick hand cut chips with garlic aioli. These chips are some of the best I have eaten and I am not easy to please when it comes to the delectable hot chip.
Talulah also has a great selection of white, red and sparkling wine, some of which from the Hunter Valley. For those that don't enjoy a good vino, there are spirits and numerous beers to wet your whistle and compliment your dining experience.
Last but definitely not least, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Basically, the whole experience at Talulah is incredibly enjoyable. It is definitely a restaurant and bar that you will want to visit again and again.
