There's a new attraction at South Bank. You may have seen it at Ekka or the Teneriffe Festival but when it's not attracting attention at an event, you will find it located at the Cultural Forecourt in South Bank's Parklands. Of course, I'm talking about Tall Short Espresso's bright red, vintage Volkswagen, coffee Kombi.
Tall Short's coffee Kombi is a welcome addition to the Parklands. It's a long walk between South Bank's Cultural Centre and the playground and swimming lagoon at the other end. There are numerous ice-cream carts for kids along the way; now grown-ups can indulge too with a quick caffeine fix.
You can get a take-away and stroll along the Brisbane River, or pull up a stool (provided by Tall Short), sit in the shade, relax, and read a book. Every coffee comes with a complimentary, miniature, gingerbread bikkie. As well as great coffee, Tall Short also sells soft drinks, juices, and teas.
