Tall Ships Whale Watching Tours

I was very blessed last weekend when my family took me whale watching with the Tall Ships Whale Watching crew, and yes, we had a whale of a time.
The day began at 8am when our family group of 11 congregated at Mariners Cove Marina on Seaworld Drive, Main Beach, Gold Coast.
Prior to boarding we had a group photo taken by the resident photographer, then aboard the boat we went. First up was coffee and muffins then off out into the open sea.
It wasn't long until we were entertained by our first sighting not far from our boat.
Over the 4 hours we were at sea we saw whales breaching, lazing about in the water and communicating with other pods way off in the distance.
Our skipper and crew educated us all about the habits of whales and I must admit I learned alot.
[ADVERT]Back into Mariners Cove then it was all aboard a speed boat headed for McLarens Landing, South Stradbroke Island for lunch. We spent about 2 hours on the island where we were greeted by the local wallabies, and staff.
A walk through the bushland, a swim and then back onboard the boat back to the main land.
This is a trip I would highly recommend, very reasonably priced and a very relaxed outing. Tall Ships have a few different whale watching trips, so take a look at
their website to find out the different packages available.
