Tall Ships dock at Mariner's Cove Marina, Main Beach, Gold Coast. It takes a leisurely day to sail through calm waters to McLarens Landing, South Stradbroke Island for BBQ buffet lunch and back again. There are optional extra activities such as parasailing or speed boating as you sail along. If you're really lucky, you might pass a Humpback Whale or three.
Once you reach South Stradbroke Island, you can be as relaxed or as busy as you choose with free kayaking, paddle boats, cricket, pool table, beach volleyball, live entertainment and native wildlife feeding (kookaburras, wallabies, and eagles) on offer.
Tall Ship docked at McLarens Landing, South Stradbroke Island
McLarens Landing is a quiet, untouched part of South Stradbroke Island and spending a few hours there is guaranteed to de-stress anyone. Watch out, as you step off the boat, all those pirate fantasies might come to life.
You might need a little nap after the BBQ buffet. Or maybe try sand tobogganing, charter a sea plane or zoom around on a jet ski if you want to add some excitement to the afternoon. Either way, a Tall Ship adventure will leave you with some great memories to "treasure".
