Talk on Lawrence of Arabia at Asian Civilisations Museum

The Friends of the Museums and the Asian Civilizations Museum (ACM) has organised a FREE Friday talk on the famous celebrity T. E. Lawrence and his work on "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" during the period of world history in which he lived. It included the First World War, the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, the transitions of European Imperialism, the first steps in Western oil exploration, and the creation of the modern Middle East.

The talk will be led by Marina Thayil who is a research coordinator for the Asian Civilizations Museum 's special exhibitions and has lectured on various topics from Ghandi to Hindu Art. No registration is required and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is FREE for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (present ID for verification). Tickets for Tourists and Foreign Citizens at $8 per adults and $4 concession.
