sushi handroll @ Claringbold's Seafood
I realised I have been eating at Claringbold's Seafood almost every Friday for the past four years! By now, the servers know my order - spicy raw tuna and spicy raw salmon hand roll. I often contemplate trying something new at the Prahran Market, but always return to my favourite.
Why do I keep going back for the same thing? Because it is really that good. A generous strip of fresh sashimi grade tuna (or salmon), rolled to perfection with rice, cucumber and avocado. The spicy, not no spicy, but a must order for the spicy sauce mixed in with mayonnaise hidden inside the base of the spicy rolls. It's the best takeaway sushi hand roll in Melbourne and ideal for a light lunch.
There are other hand roll options too - unagi, cooked prawn, peking duck, tofu, teriyaki chicken, seaweed, and cooked tuna. Go through and try them all. If you are feeling especially hungry, add a Californian roll or sweet inari, or grab a sashimi pack - all made fresh daily on site, and all very tempting.
If you prefer to make your own, this fish shop will sell you sashimi grade tuna or salmon to take home.
Try Claringbold's takeaway sushi, and let me know what you think.
