Takeaway Coffee at Home

During this time of social distancing at home, memories of good coffee can seem far away. However, there are still several cafes in Neukölln open for takeaway. If you are travelling to and from work, or you are making a trip for groceries, here are some spots where you can still get your fix.

If you missed the chance to sit in Populus' newly renovated cafe, you may have to wait a little longer. In the meantime, if you're taking a walk along the Maybachufer Canal feel free to pick up a coffee to go, 10:00-17:00 daily. Also on offer are cakes, granola bars and coffee beans. There's also beer and wine for when you're ready to take a break from caffeine.

Maybachufer 20, 12045 Berlin

After an initial closure, Isla on Hermannstrasse has reopened for takeaway 9:00-16:00 daily, and is offering pastries, cakes and bread to go with your coffee, as well as bottles of wine from Rocket Wine Berlin.

Hermannstrasse 37, 12049 Berlin

The Barn

The Neukölln branch of The Barn has always been a more calm and relaxing experience than its busy Mitte counterparts. They are currently open for takeaway from 12:00-16:00, offering espresso drinks with Oatly as well as their coffee beans so you can make your own drinks at home. They can also grind the beans for you if you need.

Friedelstraße 27, 12047 Berlin

Greens Cafe

Greens Cafe on Weserstrasse is offering coffee and cakes for takeaway. While you cannot sit amongst the indoor plants maybe you can sneak a peek of them through the window while your coffee is being made. Current hours are 9:00-17:00 weekdays (closed Wednesday) and 10:00-18:00 on weekends.

Two and Two

Two and Two is currently open from 12:00 to 17:30 Friday through Monday for takeaway coffees and treats. Offerings include croissants, mini-quiches and cakes. The cafe is a mix of Japanese and French culture, with Matcha Financiers and Tokyo Cheesecake along with Pains au Chocolat, so while you may not be able to travel overseas currently, you can always pretend through dessert.

Pannierstrasse 6, 12047 Berlin

As the situation changes some of the opening hours may change, so I suggest checking their social media pages to keep up with what's open before heading out. If there's more that I have missed please let us know in the comments below.

Why? Because espresso helps with the depresso.
