Africa is at your feet

Take a Walk Adventures invites you to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Africa - From the Rooftop to the Ranges in 2019! Bookings are now open for this exclusive experience!

This fabulous walking tour will see you stand on Africa's highest peak, 'Kili' - to climb it is an unforgettable experience. Then head to Serengeti National Park and others where you are bound to see the Big Five, a host of other game and scores of birds, all existing alongside the Masai people's livestock.

To visit Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera is a surreal adventure. You are certain to wonder at how old the human race really is as you pass by Olduvai Gorge, where evidence of the earliest humans was unearthed.

Then it's time to head to the northern Drakensberg Range. Nowhere is the escarpment more dramatic as the mountains run like the spine of a dragon, and nowhere does the word 'Zulu' seem more appropriate. The softer green lands of the Low Berg lie in stark contrast as you peer down from the huge basalt pinnacles and knife-edge, narrow ridges of rock.

With mountains and ranges to be conquered, tribal lands to be discovered and a wealth of unique wildlife to be seen - this is Africa at its best.

Except when camping or staying in mountain huts, travellers stay in three-star hotels and an eco lodge during this 27-day adventure. Porters will carry all but day packs. View the full itinerary here.

If you are interested in joining the 'Africa - From the Rooftop to the Ranges' tour, register to attend 'Take A Walk Adventures' FREE Information Evening on Thursday 25 October 2018.

Held from 6.30pm, this special event will see Take a Walk Adventures owners, the friendly John and Lyn, go over the gear you will need, fitness levels required, costs, and of course, how to go about it! Nibbles, tea and coffee will be provided from 6.00pm.

All overseas adventures include the cost of local guides, most accommodation and meals, various transport inclusions and there will always be an Aussie Take A Walk leader on the ground, so you'll never be alone. If you're up for a walking holiday to out-of-the-way places and want to throw in a bit of culture and sightseeing and enjoy the experience with like-minded people, you'll want to find out more!

Take A Walk Adventures are designed for fit and adventurous walkers. This enlightening information evening will give you the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and decide if this tour will suit your needs and interests.
