Now at Queen Victoria Market

There are two ways of looking at the Take 2 markets coming up at the Queen Victoria Market.

The first is that this is a new take on market shopping. Instead of just going to the Vic Market for new stuff you can now go there for recycled and vintage fashions.

This is not op-shopping as there are lots of really quality garments from Australian and international designers with some gorgeous vintage stuff in the mix.

Prices tend to vary dramatically. There are certainly dealers with classic vintage items but there are also a lot of people off-loading bits and pieces that no longer fit them or that they loved once and want somebody like you to love again.

The other option is that instead of just attending you might want to organise your own stall and sell some of your fabulous, but no longer wanted, gear or perhaps go scouting for some salable fashions.

The costs is $110 (including insurance) to host a stall and it seems like you should soon earn that back with the right "stuff."

Please note that while stalls at the July Take2 market are sold out there are options for other markets coming up on September 14th and November the 9th.)

While you have to take everything including trestle tables you can park your car in your spot which makes things a lot easier than carrying loads of stuff.

Take 2 Markets, started in 2007 and is now Melbourne's longest running recycled fashion market. They have previously been held mostly at various town hall such as Northcote, Geelong West and Malvern but are now starting up at the beloved Queen Vic.

Which seems a great new addition to the Queen Vic's great list of events.

Take 2 will also be popping up in Bendigo in September for Bendigo Fashion Week.

At these recycled markets you can expect to find Australian and international designers, name brands plus plenty of exciting vintage and retro gear.

There are also normally lots of accessories such as shoes, hats, sunglasses and jewellery

You can find Take 2 Market on Sunday 13th July at "A Shed" @ Queen Victoria Market from 9am to 3pm. Entry is FREE. There are also further markets at the Queen Vic on September 14th and November the 9th.

Take 2 Markets are supported by Sustainable Fashion Australia, and stallholders can donate anything that isn't sold to charity through this group.
