I always think that the best clothes come from someone else's wardrobe. I'm constantly overcome by fashion envy. Just take to the streets and tell me if I'm wrong – there are some well-dressed "'istas" out there! If you are like me and are suffering from the green-eyed monster, then maybe the best place for you to be, this Sunday, is at the Geelong West Town Hall for the Take 2 Markets .



The market runs from 10am to 3pm, giving you enough time to raid the unique wardrobes of those with the fashion know-how. There will be plenty of Australian and international labels floating around, such as Arabella Ramsay, Wayne Cooper, French Connection, G-Star, Thurley, Scanlan and Theodore, Vanessa Bruno, and Isabel Marant - to name just a smattering.

It's the right time of year to spruce up for the springtime weather, with authentic and original pre-loved fashion items. At Take 2 market stalls, you can come to expect quality and affordable labels, with a recycling ethos that will have you feeling proud of your purchases. You may also need a little stealth to get your steal, as you don't want to be robbed by another girl with as good an eye as you for fashion treasure. It's a shameful sight to see two girls playing tug-of-war over a garment or a pair of boots – don't let that be you!



You will be sure to find one-off statement pieces, vintage and retro items, and high-street fashion alongside designer labels. There will be over forty stalls at this week's final Geelong West market for the year, with hundreds of items, ranging from clothes, jewelry, hats, belts and shoes. Not knowing what you will find is all part of the excitement of rifling through stall after stall. My recommendation would be to grab a coffee and a few of your favourite girlfriends, and get into the markets early to find your exciting bargains.



Recycling has become a fashion in its own right. It makes you feel good to know that something you have once owned will be loved by someone else, not to mention saving on the landfill. That's why quality products are so essential in today's throwaway, consumer culture.
