That little Italian restaurant in the city
Taglio Pizza Kitchen is in the heart of York Street right opposite the Bavarian Beer Cafe. It's a cosy little pizza kitchen that is not too expensive and serves good Italian food.

Their menu has a good choice of pastas and pizzas and some salads and panini too. We decided to start with a glass of wine and an antipasti platter and garlic bread. The entrees are priced between $4 and $16 and the portions are of a good size .

We ordered pasta and pizza for mains. We got a creamy mushroom and chicken risotto, Bocconchini and Tomato pizza, Beef tortellini with a bolognese and a Sausage and mushroom pizza. All mains are priced between $15 and $20.

They also serve some specials in the evening like Prawn Linguini or grilled fish fillet.

The risotto deserves a special mention. It was rich and creamy and tasted every penny's worth.

Bocconchini is my new found favourite on pizzas and I loved it at Taglio too. The base was soft and the melting hot cheese made the pizza taste even better.

The pizzas are available in single serving size at lunch time and the full size in the evenings.

Since the seating is limited, the place seems to get really full really fast. So if you are after a big and comfortable seat then get there before the crowd does.

Generous and flavoursome food that one would like to try. Great for a casual lunch or dinner.

'not too expensive' ? - for who ? rich people ? poor people ? you ? what is your budget ? - nothing for facts for clarity ...

you came a bit closer with your 'around $20 - $30 pp' at the bottom

but basically lost me with your second sentence.

Hi ultim - In a city like Sydney, I would consider mains for $10 and under a cheap eat. A good size main under $20 is not too expensive for me. In my humble opinion if I can have an entree and main (full size) and a drink within $30 , I would be quite happy with it. Happy to hear your comments on that
