Go Mexican in Melbourne CBD
Being a typical tourist who was in search of some serious sustenance after a long day of sight-seeing, I stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant that is cleverly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Melbourne CBD.
Taco Bill is a visually appealing Mexican restaurant that has a decor that would make anyone feel like they were in a traditional Mexican home.
Upon being seated by one of their friendly staff, a complimentary bowl of corn chips with sweet chilli sauce is brought to the table, as its patrons decide on what to order.
If you're really thirsty and feeling the energy from your system fading at a rapid pace, I would recommend you get the Mexican Coffee - a drink that contains a shot of Kahlua and espresso, topped with whipped cream, cinnamon and a wafer stick. It's absolutely to die for, and extremely strong in taste, which would work well if you're a caffeine junkie.
The staff is very hospitable and well-mannered. They will also point you to the chef specials and help you if you can't decide on what to get from their extensive menu.
A plate of nachos with melted cheese and sweet chilli sauce/sour cream and the iconic guacamole as dips has never tasted so delicious. It is served on a hot plate (literally) and has a beautiful presentation. I also ordered a plate of chicken quesadillas which were equally satisfying.
