Waffles and Pizza Cones on the same menu?
I have a confession. As of recent times, in particular my University holiday (which is sadly coming to a close) I have been eating out a lot. Clearly, this is no good to my wallet...and my stomach. Thankfully however, there is a shop that I am a regular to that I don't feel so guilty going to - T101. Disregard the weird name (don't ask, I don't know why either), this chic shop offers a lot of bang for your buck.
As of now, there are two stores in Sydney - Parammatta and Hurstville. At Hurstville, it's located in Westfield, close to where Coles and Watchworks are.
My first impression was that I wouldn't mind working there - the workers are all wearing their fancy fedora's with a stylish blue button up. But it wasn't the intimidating type of hipster-exclusive kind of place that you feel a bit nervous to approach. Instead, if you walk by, you are often greeted with smiles and if you're lucky a free sample of the drinks that are available.
But that shouldn't be all that attracts you. The menu at T101 is quite unique in it's own right. As their website claims, it is a 'cafe that combines a fusion of East and West foods and flavours'. Their main focus is the beloved pizza cone (a must have) and delicately made waffles. There are also drinks that suitably compliment the food provided. When in doubt, ask one of the staff members to choose one for you.
To me, the cost is more than reasonable. There are a lot of value packs that can suit from 1-4 people. I often get the Waffle and Drink meal, costing around $5.95 depending on which waffle you decide to eat. Any meal is more than enough for lunch, and definitely more than enough for a small snack.
It's sort of embarrassing that my sister and I have been such regulars over the summer break, but there has not yet been a time that I have felt unwelcome at T101. All in all, it's a perfect way to finish a day of frantic shopping at Westfield.
