Food and words.
Published June 10th 2011
You can find a coffee shop on just about every second corner, but tea is often an afterthought on their menus. This isn't the case at T-bar, where you'll discover teas you never new existed.

T-bar is both a cafe and a shop. You can sit down to enjoy any of the teas that they have on offer, or if you like you can take them home and build up your own collection. Choose from regulars like English breakfast to their more imaginative tiles such as Immuni-T or Lucidi-T.

A Steaming Pot of Vulnerabilit-T

Studies on the effects of tea have found that there can be many benefits to drinking these leaves. As well as helping with a wide range of diseases and disorders tea can help de-stress you after a hard day, it can help with mental awareness, it can help relieve headaches, and it can even help with weight-loss.

You can still warm up over a coffee or a hot chocolate, and fill up with their Turkish breads, melts, or baps. During the warmer months be sure to try out their ice-teas or indulge yourself with a chai tea smoothie. How chai smoothies have not become the latest craze in beverages greatly confounds me.

Another must try at T-bar are their Ar-T-San teas. These are made from tea rolled into a small ball, that when placed in the steaming teapot unfolds to reveal a delicate floral design. Something that can't be described, you really have to check these out for yourself. Purchase a glass teapot from T-Bar's extensive teapot range and bring a few of the balls home to impress friends at your next dinner party.
