A contemporary exhibition featuring over 20 artists
Two Arts Centre groups are getting together to bring you an intriguing exhibition of Printmaking and Textile and Fibre Arts from 5-13 January 2019 from 10am to 4pm at 5 North St, Caloundra, Sunshine Coast. Entry is free for the Symphony of Fibre Arts exhibition.
Please note, the Official Opening by Janet de Boer O.A.M. is at 1pm Sat 5 Jan 2019.
Featuring over 20 artists, this contemporary exhibition will be incorporating banners, sculptures, installation and wearable art. True to the theme, it pushes the boundaries of creativity and imagination. You'll be transported to the Australian outback with flocks of printed birds leading the way, as relations with landscapes, desert creatures and flora are explored through the medium of print.
The Caloundra Arts Centre Association has been in existence for over 40 years, and they have 23 different Art & Craft groups going through their North Street venue. Just metres from the CBD, within the groups there is art, pottery, embroidery, quilting, spinning and weaving, lace making, stitching and more. Check the website if you'd like more information about the aforementioned groups. The Exhibition is the perfect way to view first hand, the creative work they produce.
