This Saturday, a glorious tradition continues as The Domain plays host to .

Arguably the most anticipated part of the Sydney Festival, thousands and thousands of people are expected to attend what promises to be a high quality concert.

Conductor Paul Kildea will be leading the orchestra through a program centred around the work of the great American composer, Leonard Bernstein. New Australian compositions will also feature, before the evening is rounded out with a rendition of the 1812 Overture. Best of all, the two hour performance will be free.

Given the crowds expected, patrons are urged to use public transport. Or take your bike, as racks will be provided. Picnic blankets are allowed, but plastic sheeting, high chairs and beach umbrellas are not. And don't worry if you prefer to travel light – food and drink (including alcohol) will be on sale from the early afternoon to the end of the evening.
