It's getting harder to find beaches around Sydney that your special furry loved ones can enjoy too. So here are 5 beaches spread from the North and South of Sydney that are dog-friendly.
1. Rowland Reserve - Bayview Rowland Reserve in Bayview, located on the Northern Beaches, is a popular one for dog loving owners. There is a large flat grass area not far from the sand and water, so whether your dog prefers to stay dry or can't get enough of splashing around, this is a fantastic place.
Silver Beach is an off-leash dog friendly beach in Kurnell, a quiet little part of the Sutherland Shire. It is quite a long stretch of beach, so make sure you look out for the specific area for dogs, as dogs are only allowed between the third and fourth jetties from the western end. Any areas outside of the allocated dog area, are on-leash areas.
3. Manly Lagoon - Manly
So technically a lagoon, not a beach, but this is a great 24/7 area for your furry friend to frolic. Parking can be found at Manly Lagoon Park in Manly on the Northern Beaches.
4. Greenhills Beach - Cronulla Greenhills Beach located in beautiful Cronulla, is not a 24/7 dog-friendly beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach off-leash before 10am and after 4pm 7 days. Be sure to pay attentions to signs and warnings.
5. Sirius Cove - Mosman Sirius Cove located in Mosman, is a family favourite due to the fantastic amounts of shade and grass areas that come with this little beach. Dogs are allowed off-leash all day on weekdays, but on weekends they are only allowed off-leash before 9am or after 4pm, this includes Public Holidays.
So where will you take your furry friend for your next adventure together?
