For many people in Sydney, a facial is a means to be pampered and indulged. On the other hand for some others, it is a necessary treatment for acne and other skin conditions.
Some facials are reasonably priced, however if you go to a hotel day spa or any other day spa that spells luxe, you will be up for a significant price tag. People want to save, and people love a bargain. Many Sydneysiders actively check those group buying sites for some cheap facials, and they are few and far between. On that note, there is bound to be a place in Sydney that does cheap facials without needing to go to a student clinic. For the latter, there is a place in Broadway that does them for free, while some student clinics still ask you to pay a reasonable price. After all, multiple layers of creams, toners, gels and moisturisers are being used on your face and they don't come cheap.
There is a place in Sydney's Rozelle that is home to the $39 facial, and off hand it goes for an hour. Welcome to the SkincareStore Salon on Darling Street. At one stage they had a club where you could purchase $29 facials. You can always ask them for more information. This store also sells skincare both online and at their retail shop in Rozelle. Surprisingly, the facial experience is not a big sales pitch. Multiple products are used for your $39 facial, and my skin was glowing to the point that I would not touch it with my hands, even if they were washed and sanitised. Your skin feels so smooth and cleansed. The therapist tells you what products they're using next, and they give you a brief description of why they're using each product. For instance "X balances the sebum" or whatever. It is a lot of information to remember, yet you're gowned and relaxed as you would a normal facial in your own private room.
The customer service here is not special, and sometimes it is better to pop in to make an appointment than to phone ahead. They are that busy, and with $39 quality facials you can begin to appreciate why. Of course, you don't need to buy a voucher on a group buying site to enjoy and experience, but will still need to fill out a detailed questionnaire as you would for any facial.
I live in inner west Sydney. A very close friend of mine is a certified skincare consultant. Unlike regular consultant, she uses Skin Analysing Machine to identify the situations under first layer of skin. After this, she customises a facial for her client. Obviously, I did not pay ( that's what best friends area made for;)) but she charges only $20 for this whole process which lasts about an hour. The beauty about this procedure is you can learn how to take care of your skin on a regular basis and save your ongoing facial money. Cha Ching!!!
