Sydney's BIGGEST Book Fair
Knox Grammar School
Weeks Senior Academy
Pacific Highway, Wahroonga
Thurs 14-Sun 17 July
We are excited to announce the return of Sydney's BIGGEST Book Fair from 14-17 July, located at Knox Grammar, Wahroonga. Knox Grammar has generously made their Weeks Senior Academy Hall available to us for our biggest book fair, where we will have over 110,000 books for sale!
All 110,000+ pre-loved books of outstanding quality, range and scope are displayed in more than 50 categories – including Art, Architecture, Biography & Memoir, Children's & Young Adults, Cookery, Craft, Fiction, Gardening, History, Literature, Military, Psychology, Science, Sci Fi, Sport, Study Guides & Text books, and Travel. New stock will be arriving daily.
There will also be a breathtaking variety of Comics, CDs, DVDs, Vinyl Records, Stamps, Video Games, Board Games and Jigsaw Puzzles - all at unbeatable prices.
On top of all this we will also be hosting our famous Silent Auction, this year it is the longest the Book Fair has ever offered, including rare, first editions, and signed collectible volumes.
Here are just some of the unique items in store:
Max Dupain Photographs, 1948, edition limited to 1000, signed by author.
Snuff, Terry Pratchett, 2011
First edition, first printing, signed by Pratchett on the title page over his official knighthood stamp, plus his silver hologram label.
Annie R. Rentoul & Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, The Little Green Road to Fairyland, 1925 and 1948, first editions; and The Enchanted Forest by Ida Rentoul Outhwaite & Grenbry Outhwaite, 1921, first edition.
Céramiques de Picasso (1948), text in French. This is not a book as such, but a folio of tipped-in photographs of Picasso's decorated ceramics. There apparently were 28 photographs; we have 26. With these is also a photograph of Picasso, "Picasso a Vallauris".
One of the most exciting items is The National Shakespeare, A Facsimile of the Text of the First Folio of 1623. Many of us would have wondered what the first folio looked like and here we have a precise facsimile – same typeset, same spelling, punctation and handmade paper. This is Volume 1 Comedies c1880.
A full list of all items available for the Silent Auction is posted on the Lifeline H2H website here.
