This light and refreshing meal is the perfect summer snack, and while you may not be able to enjoy one on the streets of Thailand, we're pretty sure that there are some good options to be found in Sydney. At Chat Thai you'll be able to enjoy their Yum Nuea, a char grilled beef salad with tomatoes and fresh chilli. They are generous with the beef, and this salad has a nice kick to it. One of the best things about Thai beef salads is that you don't have to wade through mounds of lettuce to get something of substance, every mouthful of the Chat Thai yum nuea is tasty, and the fresh mint and coriander help to give it that extra oomph. Then there is the salad at Twelve Spices Lao & Thai Cuisine . Theirs is a bit different, featuring freshly roasted rice, but their chilli lime dressing is pretty delicious. Twelve Spices have lots of herbs in their salad, mint, basil, and coriander. There beef could be a little bit less cooked, but other than that there are no complaints. Lastly we've picked the Buckland Hotel . Sure at first glance it may not sound like the place to go for a good Thai beef salad, but the restaurant, Buckland Thai , actually has some tasty Thai food. Their salad is $18.90 and comes with a thinly sliced marinated grilled scotch fillet, on the customary fresh herbs and salad. Or go for the Crying Tiger instead, it is a slight variation on the Thai Beef salad and it is also super tasty. To get to the Buckland Hotel head to the Corner of Mitchell Road and Buckland Street, Alexandria.
