We're looking for places where Sydney goes off with a bang, and if you don't get terrible puns, that basically means we're looking for Sydney's best shooting ranges. We don't care why you like to shoot, you might enjoy target practice, or the victory of the perfect score, or perhaps you're a recreational hunter who needs to get in some practice. Whatever your reason we want to know where you like to shoot. Gone are the days when it was legal to set up an air rifle in your backyard, so instead let us know that licensed shooting ranges around Sydney that you tend to frequent.

It is hard to go past somewhere with a name as impressive as the Sydney International Shooting Centre, and it has some pretty impressive ranges. You'll be able to practice on an indoor range, three partial indoor ranges, or one of their eleven outdoor ranges. The centre also accommodates a range of disciplines including pistols, air rifles, trap shooting, and more. Whether you're training to be an athlete, or are just an enthusiast, the Sydney International Shooting Centre has a plenty of options available.

The St Marys Indoor Shooting Centre is an indoor shooting range featuring 10m, 25m, and 50m ranges. This is one of the largest indoor sooting ranges in Australia, and the range also has ares for hanging out and socialising after you're done shooting. There are field rifle league nights held on Thursdays and Fridays, and you'll find the staff helpful and friendly whether you're new to the range or just trying to pick out new equipment. This shooting range has facilities suited to both beginners and professionals.

If you're not so keen on guns, but would like to test your aim, then perhaps Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting is for you. This interesting take on the shooting range sees you head aboard a charter boat on the Sydney Harbour, or off to one of the great wineries surrounding Sydney. This is a great activity for parties or team building activities, and it is fun and safe. You can practice clay pigeon shooting without having to worry about the kickback of a shotgun.

So if you're an eager marksman, or someone just starting out, let us know where you go to do some shooting practice. We want to know what ranges are the best, and what they accommodate. Fill us in on all you know, and leave your thoughts in the comments.
