Music Festivals in Australia are always changing, new festivals are popping up at the drop of the hat, and other festivals are dying out and slipping into obscurity. Some festivals like Big Day Out have been around for such a long time and are still going strong. So we're want to know what makes a good music festival. We're on the lookout for Sydney's best music festival. We've got a few, but now we want your opinion.

Big Day Out is obviously a big name in music festivals. The first one was held in Sydney in 1992, and soon after the festival spread around the country, and later to New Zealand. The festival started with bands like the Violent Femmes and Nirvana , and has continued bringing big names to the stage ever since. It is a great place to see both international acts, and local bands, and the festival combines rock, hip hop, and electronica. While sometimes the line-ups pale in comparison to those of yesteryear, every now and again Big Day Out hits the nail on the head and comes out with a stellar line-up that can't be beat.

Good Vibrations is a fairly new festival that started in 2004, and mainly focusses on RnB, Hip Hop, and Electronica music. It has seen big names like Snoop Dogg , Kanye West , and even oldies like Salt-N-Pepa, alongside local acts like Art Vs Science and The Presets . It is still early days for this festival, but after a disappointing turn out in 2011 we'll have to see whether it sticks around.

Parklife is one festival that seems to be good at drawing a crowd. Held in Centennial Park, Parklife sees acts covering dance, RnB, and electronica. It has been popular amongst many local artists, but it also brings in international names like 2011s the Gossip and Lykke Li . The festival may be famous for revellers who drink a bit too much and party hard, but at least the its is popular.

There are plenty of other festivals that hit Sydney like Homebake , Stereosonic , and Soundwave . There is also the Glebe Music Festival that showcases a mix of world music, classical, and jazz, all depending on what acts are on show. It seems that Sydney has a music festival for everyone.

So let us know your favourite music festival, and just what makes it so great. Sydney has got some great options, regardless of your musical taste, so which one is drawing the best crowd? We want your opinion on Sydney's best music festival.
