Finding a great laksa can be a bit of a balancing act. The Malaysian soup has such a combination of flavours, that finding the perfect bowl involves getting all of these right. There is an entire section of the menu dedicated to laksa, including chicken laksa, drumstick chicken laksa, beef laksa, vegetable laksa, king prawn laksa, and more. Amongst the Macdonalds and Juice Bars, there are also some good bowls of laksa in some of Sydney's shopping centre food courts. One of these is Le Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine in the Food Court Under Myer . You choose your main meat, or go vegetarian, and the'll serve you up a very warming and yummy soup. Sometimes their laksa can be a little bit sweet, but if you're shopping in the city it is worth a stop.

You might know somewhere in China town that does a good laksa, there are certainly plenty of places around. Or there may be a Malaysian restaurant that never puts a foot wrong when it comes to this soup. Some places you might like include Laksa House in the QVB , Laksa King, or BaBa Laksa House.

CBD Noodles is another place to try, they're so popular that it isn't uncommon to see a line up forming around lunchtime. They have a great combination of flavours, and good servings of ingredients.
