Chocolate Mousse. Yum. It is so easy to salivate, and you can be forgiven for wanting to. So many other Sydney siders are doing the same right now. We see it being made on cooking shows; we find it in nearly every single cookbook or recipe section of a magazine, or we can just find it pre-packaged at Coles. Sydney is spoilt for choice when it comes to the magic chocolate mousse when eating out. Just eat out at any type of cuisine restaurant, and in many cases you will find this iconic sweet treat on the menu screaming out for you to "Pick me, love me and eat me." So where is the best chocolate mousse in Sydney?
For some chocolate mousse that satisfies those sweet cravings and that doesn't have a rich taste (pre or post) in your mouth, then the chocolate mousse at
Kai on King in Newtown hits the spot with simple decorations of strawberries and it feels like a cheap indulgence, especially if you wish to give the macarons a bit of a break.
If you love rich chocolate (you might be the type that actually goes for those Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate varieties) then you are in luck. The catch is that you need to buy a hot chocolate to get a few scoops of rich and heavenly chocolate mousse at
The Boon Terrace lounge in Darlinghurst. If chocolate mousse cake is more of your forte in enjoying the best of Sydney's Chocolate Mousse, then you have hit the chocolate mousse cake jackpot at
St Honore Sourdough Bakery in Mosman, and I believe they also have a bakery in North Sydney, too. A small counter and an ample dining space seems a bit inconsistent at this establishment, yet their chocolate mousse cake is a winner. I don't know why it's just one of those things: it just is.
Now it's over to you, where have you found Sydney's best chocolate mousse while eating out? And why is it so spectacular? Looking forward to a Sydney chocolate mousse discussion. This will be interesting.
