The best way to enjoy an authentic Austrlian wildlife experience and see the Austrlian native animals in their habitat is to get to Sydney Wildlife World at Darling harbour. The zoo is in an air conditioned enclosure and is home to 6000 native animals.

Exhibits include butterflies, kangaroos, koalas, wallabys, cassowaries, reptiles, nocturnal animals. You can take a walk with kangaroos in their habitat or else engage in a rooftop encounter with the koalas. You can plan your visit around the animal feeding times to watch them as they are most active.

Also bursting with activity are the daily interactive bird shows. Feel the wind from their wings as birds swoop closely over the crowd and get up close and learn about stunning Australian birds such as the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Galah and Red Tail Black Cockatoo.

If you would like to have a little more excitement and break away from the crowds then you can enjoy breakfast with the animals in the mornings in between a bush garden setting with gum trees surrounded by koalas!

Its the best way to get a close encounter with the Australian native animals right in the centre of the city.
