A vegan event that is plastic free
As we all know by now, plastic is a harmful material that is causing all sorts of problems right around the world. In particular, vegans are very concerned about this and they will, therefore, be holding a Plastic Free July! This will be on Sunday the 21st July 2019 at the Entertainment Quarter, 122 Lang Rd, Moore Park for a fun day filled with vegan food, activities, mixing and mingling, and plenty of stalls to look through.
Due to the weather, organisers were not able to fully integrate the Save Our Earth theme, so July will see the placard class and comp, a larger composting activation and more plastic free activities!
It is now time to take matters into our own hands and save our home among other places - we can eat fewer animal products, possibly even go vegan, bring your own cups and containers, pick up any litter lying around and practise the 3 R's; Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
Vegan NSW is going to bring you more than 100 vegan stalls to Sydney! Here you will find the best of the best in food, produce, drinks, homewares, fashion, art, cosmetics, skincare, activism and education.
Naturally, everything is all plant-based, cruelty-free and vegan, so you will not need to check the labels and ingredients! As well as an amazing choice of stalls, they will have developed a free education space called TENT Talks. This gives the members of our community the chance to speak about the amazing work that they do.
The event is free entry, is close to public transport, has a 2000 space carpark, a heap of green space, is very child-friendly, and also dog-friendly too! Make sure that your dog is on a lead at all times and bring your family, your friends and of course, do not eat before you come here and come here with an empty stomach.
There will also be some live music by local vegan artists and musicians which will be curated by Earthlings Collective throughout the day to keep you dancing and active!
As well as all this there will also be some free yoga and pilates in their MINDFUL MOVEMENT SPACE, children's mindfulness and more! Keep a look out at their Facebook page to get updates about the day.
Vegan food can be so good if you know how to make it! It is not at all boring or limited and while I will never go vegan, I admire those people who stick to this plant-based diet.
If you are interested in having a stall or support them and volunteer, apply via their website above now!
PS- Don't forget to bring your own containers, cups, straws, bags and cutlery. Let's make sure that we work together to reduce our single-use plastic.
