Work out for free in Sydney
Gym memberships can be expensive so why pay when you can workout in the fresh air for free? That's right, FREE!
Here's the breakdown of the best outdoor gyms Sydney has to offer:
Bondi Beach Outdoor Gym
If you live in the area, you probably do your morning run alongside the pristine Bondi Beach so why not take advantage of the awesome free equipment? It's literally a gym junky's playground with bars for chin-ups, body curls and so much more. After you've owned the gym hit the ocean to cool off.
Wentworth Park Outdoor Gym Tucked away in Ultimo is Wentworth Park where the city and Inner West's smart gym enthusiasts go for their daily work-out. It's sport-central at Wentworth Park with a sports field, a cricket pitch and of course the outdoor gym stations. You'll be able to find training sessions aplenty and even some yoga classes too. It's pretty much what you'd find at your local Fitness First, only there's no joining fee or monthly membership.
If the gorgeous views of the harbour don't spike your interest then maybe the fact that the equipment is in pristine condition will. You would expect nothing less of the park located in Vaucluse. Here you'll get an incredible cardio workout with the elliptical machine, the hand cycle and of course the rowing machine.

Waverly Park Outdoor Gym The ever-busy Waverly Park is always filled with exercise fanatics and sports teams playing on the field so of course an outdoor gym was necessary. Right alongside the white picket fence is the small outdoor gym. It might be small but what it lacks in size is made up for with the large oval to run around or if you're really keen run from Bondi Beach up the huge hill to the gym.
The Cooks River Fitness Trail This four-station outdoor gym equipment trail is one of the best in the west. Located between Hurlstone Park and Canterbury you are able to workout alongside the Cooks River. The equipment is all new and the trail forces you to get your heart rate up by running from one station to the other. It's a must for those living in the area.
