Teapots totally top stuff from this team
Calling all tea drinkers and aficionados of that funny little 'short and stout vessel - 'here is my handle, here is my spout' thingy called a teapot.
A not-for-profit group of potters, drawn together by a mutual love of potting, is holding their 29th Annual Show of Teapots during the month of August and the first week of September. Come and enjoy a vibrant and entertaining day of exhibits and when you're all worn out, where better to get a good cup of tea.
You'll be astounded by the imagination and inventiveness of this bunch of clayworkers. Their sense of pride, enjoyment and community spirit comes through in their interaction with the public, and their love of all things crafty. Every shape and size is re-invented. Teapots usually have an opening with a lid at their top, a handle for holding by hand, and a spout through which to pour the tea. So be prepared to take your time as some are so quirky and unusual you'll have trouble deciphering which end is which.
The gallery is open 10.30 - 5pm during the show, and sales will commence after opening night on August 5th
