Are you a skeptic, or someone with an interest in science and reason? Do you live in or near Sydney? On the first Thursday of each month, Australian Skeptics get together at Occidental Hotel at 43 York Street, Sydney (on the corner of Erskine Street and behind Wynyard train station). Once at the pub head upstairs via the lift or follow the signs.

Come along for a meal and a drink and enjoy lively discussion, the company of fellow skeptics and even free spoon bending lessons. If you like, bring a friend!

Previous guests have included Michael Marshall of Merseyside Skeptics, host of the podcast Skeptics with a K, and DJ Maynard, television presenter, radio announcer and reporter for the Skeptic Zone Podcast. Topics have ranged from conspiracy theories to Lyme disease.

Meetings start around 6pm, with a 30 minute talk beginning at 7pm. Afterwards, discussion and merriment continues until late.
