Get ready for the biggest, the best, and the most sensational annual event - Sydney Royal Easter Show from Thursday 10 to Wednesday 23 April 2014.
Attracting almost 900,000 people every year, the Show is all about rejoicing the Australian culture with agricultural competitions, animal encounters, awesome entertainment and heaps of carnival fun for people of all ages. Showbags It'll be showbags galore at the Showbag Hall with more than 300 showbags filled to the brim with lots of goods to delight all ages, tastes and budgets. As usual, there will be a line-up of family favourites along with a collection of new ones. So keep your eyes peeled for the full list ready for your perusal on 12 March. You can't go to the Show without taking home a couple of showbags.
There is plenty of carnival action for adrenaline junkies and super energetic kids at the Show. Featuring more than 100 rides and games, you're guaranteed to hours of carnival fun no matter your age.
Head to the Coca-Cola Carnival for the most terrifying, thrilling and exciting rides. There will be plenty for those who love some heart-stopping action including Extreme, Sky Flyer, Zipper, Cliff Hanger and heaps more. Are you ready to challenge your inner daredevil?
For the younger children, the Kids Carnival is perfect. Ride on a carousel and wave for the camera, go on the Jurassic Coaster and ride past the starving dinosaurs, allow the Wave Swinger sweep you off your feet, and speed down the colourful Super Slide.
And making its debut this year at the Show is the Double Decker Carousel. The youngsters will absolutely love this double storey merry-go-round with lots of horses for them to ride on. And for the young at heart, why not take a stroll down memory lane and hop on this quirky merry-go-round? This retro looking giant carousel will be a new favourite I'm sure.
There are lots and lots of awesome experiences waiting for you at the Show and if you're an animal lover, you're in luck. With nearly 14,000 animals on site, you will be in heaven with smiling alpacas, cattle, horses, dogs, pigs and so much more. You'll see them in competitions, demonstrations and displays. Entertainment Expect anything and everything at the Easter Show for it has it all. From traditional favourites such as woodchopping and whipcracking to kids' performances including Tickety Toc Live Show and Peter Pan, to family friendly shows such as ShowTime Freestyle MotoX and Australian Extreme Trick Riding Championships. Of course, there will be new shows like Dinosaur Adventures and Goin' Ape - Gorillas in Your Midst which will captivate and amaze the crowds. And don't miss Australiana In All Its Glory, a brand new evening entertainment production followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Food Come with an empty stomach because the Easter Show is the foodie destination showcasing lots of finger-licking variety. The gourmet culinary experience will be one that you will remember. Munch on mouth-watering eats at the Sydney Royal Cafe and pop by the Sydney Royal Beer and Wine Garden for a refreshing beverage.
