This will be the first ever Parade which will start at midday and is part of the official Brunswick Music Festival 2019. This event will open up the music festival and then you can listen to music all day. There will be six official stages at the BMF hub at Brunswick Mechanics Institute, Mechanica.
The party will also feature a specially picked line-up at some of your favourite venues including:
Bombay Rock
The Brunswick Green
The Penny Black
The Retreat Hotel
This event will be held on Sunday 3rd March 2019, from 12 noon till 7.00 pm at Sydney Road, Brunswick. It will be a FREE event and Blak Dot Gallery will be the host of the second annual First Nations artist market. Here there will be workshops, indigenous music, food and more. The event is for all ages.
Some of the bands and performers will be as follows:
Disgruntled Architect - formed in early 2017, and this group were a few high school students from Templestowe College. The band started off doing jams inspired by Indian classical, Afrobeat, Gypsy Jazz, Klezmer, Flamenco and Arabic Folk styles.
Kiddyrock Music and Play Session - they create entertaining and educational music programs, live shows and online content for children and their families
Moaning Lisa - formed in 2016 and consists of four Canberra-based music school graduates who love to make music together. They enjoy the likes of Wolf Alice and Pixies and their music is alternative rock.
Pink Matter - was founded in 2016 after the members met through university. They are a neo-soul 4-piece band that has wowed the Brisbane music scene. Their music is a modern version of the neo-soul/urban genre.
Porpoise Spit - are a [i]"rose-rock and suburban punk-ballad"[/i] band.
Rat Child - describes herself as [i]"rattlebrained soul-blues and part-personal part-political storytelling from a Melbourne swamp rat."[/i] She sings soulful R&B vocal harmonies, blues, folk and plays jazz style rhythm guitar.

[b]GETTING THERE**
If you are going by public transport, Bus 508 runs along Victoria Street, Brunswick from Moonee Ponds to Alphington via Northcote. You can also catch the Upfield train to Jewell or Brunswick Station. The No. 19 North Coburg tram from the city will not run all day on Sunday 1st March. The tram is replaced by a bus that will leave at the corner of Elizabeth and Collins Street, City.
