For a fab fun day for the whole family, and a truly unique Christmas Card Family Snap, head on down to a quiet back street of Marrickville, an inner southern suburb of
Sydney. From the outside, the entrance door is unassuming and if you're not careful you'll miss it, but step inside and let your imagination run wild.



I've spent the afternoon on a movie set. You can choose from a '50's-type diner;



a jungle scene, a school classroom, or even a glam professional model shoot location, just to name a few options.



In this age of 'selfies', add even more fun to your personal pics with some really cool photo props.



Carrington Street, Marrickville, is the home of , a cool, kinda-spooky warehouse full of all wonder of bits and pieces, props, and gigantic T.V. show spin-off pieces. And for a reasonable fee, you'll have access to all of it to put a really unique and fun spin on your annual Chrissy photo shots.



Sit in the same cane chair as Shane Warne when he filmed 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here. Or pretend you are on the set of 'Happy Days' and channel your inner 'Fonz' or Ritchie Cunningham in the 'Diner' room.



LIGHTING
We all want to make our nearest and dearest look their best, so the key is in the lighting. Contrary to popular belief, outside in full sun is not always the best or kindest option. Modern cameras and technology do a lot of the thinking for us, and with a little planning, changing angles, and adding strategic lighting, we can all look gorgeous.



Using the flash on your camera is a little unpredictable because you're never quite sure where it will throw the light, and often it will over-expose and wash-out your subject, but add a few strategically placed LED light stands, or a simple flash-like LED snap-on light to your camera, and observe where the shadows fall. Then instruct your subject to 'lift your chin, turn your body slightly' and the results are beautiful.





At the end of the day, it doesn't have to be technologically perfect. You've had fun and you've played with loved ones. Take the extended family along and Grandma and Grandma are going to have a ball with the retro and unique range of furniture of olden days. It doesn't have to be Christmas, just have fun together.
