Put on those flip flops, that bikini top, bermudas and some sun screen for good sense, and head over to one of the massive outdoor music festivals happening in the next few months around the city. With the weather getting warmer by the second, festival organizers have some major treats in store for music lovers.

Big Day Out
This year the organizers of Big Day Out have left no stone unturned for the festival. With some classic feature bands such as Rammstein, Iggy and the Stooges and the Deftones, while heavy contenders such as Angus and Julia Stone, MIA, and Birds of Tokyo, the stage is set for some hardcore rocking out.

The festival date for Sydney is January 26 and 27 2011. Tickets for the 26th have already been sold out, but there are still tickets available for the 27th via the Big Day Out and Ticketmaster website. Tickets are currently priced at $170.50.

Finally, to quell any second thoughts of attending the festival - the organizers have incorporated a collaborative effort with two charities which are the Lifeline Youth Suicide Prevention and Oxfam Australia Pakistan Flood Relief, which will receive part of the proceeds.

Good Vibrations
The Good Vibrations line up features the new up and coming artists with their latest hits such as Cee Lo Green and Yolanda Be Cool, while keeping true to some of the awesome names in showbiz like Ludacris, Nas, Erykah Badu and the girl who taught us how to make a milkshake - Kelis.

Set to take place on 12 February in Centennial Park, general admission tickets are currently being sold at $149.90, while VIP tickets (these include express entry, exclusive VIP areas, bars and even toilets) are priced at $249.90.

Finally, if you are interested to work as a volunteer for the Good Vibrations Festival, check out their available roles and responsibilities right HERE.

Bluesfest
Some of the blues greats are ready to make it down under for Bluesfest 2011. Set to happen from 21 to 25 April 2011, the festival already has Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello and the Impostors, Michael Franti and the Spearheads, Jethro Tull, John Legend and ZZ Top.

Ticket prices range from $42 from $409. The full list of ticket prices and packages is available on the Bluesfest ticketing site here.

Interested entrepreneurs can be a part of the festival by submitting an application for their own 'Bluesfest Food or Market Stall'. Alternatively, organizers are also accepting applications by volunteers to to be part of the festival.
