I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Rhythm Boat Cruises runs a variety of themed cruises around Sydney Harbour most weekends. The boat that leaves from King Street Wharf looks small but packs a powerful punch in the entertainment stakes. A group of us grabbed a Scoopon deal for an Abba Tribute Cruise and twenty ladies set off on the high seas for an evening of fun and frivolity.

The friendly crew welcome you onboard and you are ushered to your seats. Large share antipasto platters are placed on the tables. Drinks are available at the bar and are reasonably priced. As we dined, we cruised In a westerly direction from Darling Harbour past Goat Island towards Hunters Hill.
Throughout the cruise, the ABBA tribute band played many of the golden oldies interspersed with some audience participation. If the music and dancing are not your thing, it is possible to go to the upstairs deck to watch the city light up.
The 3 hour cruise was over too quickly as the dance floor was really beginning to rock. The Rhythm Boat Cruise is a great fun evening out although the dance floor was not big enough for our bunch of 'Dancing Queens'. We will certainly return, maybe for Elvis or Salsa?
