6 Good Food events in the heart of Sydney
The Sydney Good Food Month is celebrating its 20th anniversary and tickets are now on sale for some of their October events. Presented by Citi, these events will be unforgettable flavour-packed nights with food made by influential chefs that have helped shape Australia's culinary experience.
Dinner with Italy's Isabella Poti This will be a four-course dinner including matched wines with Italy's Isabella Poti, Floriano Pellegrino and Enrico from Tomelleri in Sydney. Poti was named one of the ten most influential women in Italian cuisine. Poti is just 22 years old and is now taking a sabbatical from Italy's Bros restaurant in Southern Italy's Lecce to join the Sydney Good Food Month's line up of chef superstars!
MasterChef Italy had Poti as a celebrity guest chef. In the show, she showed the world her talent after training under Claude Bosi at his two Michelin-starred London restaurant. She also trained in Martin Berasategui's three-star restaurant and under master pastry chef Paco Torreblanca, who has such an excellent reputation for making pastry.

90's Long Lunch with Victor Liong and Andy Bowdy This event is a retro food-lovers dream! There will be two incredible chefs, Andy Bowdy (Saga, ex-Hartsyard) and Victor Liong (Lee Ho Fook, ex-Mr Wong, ex-Marque), who will be creating a menu of some 90's dishes. The menu is not yet set but it will be a nostalgia night.
It's in the spirit of remembering and reflecting on those foodie moments from the 90's, they will hold the 90's Long Lunch. Some of the 90's style foods are the vanilla slice, apple turnovers, focaccia and finger buns topped with pink icing. Or you might even find Andy has made a 90's style trifle.
Victor who lives in Melbourne is often in Sydney making lunches or dinners. His dinner menus feature food retrospectives of dishes that changed his life! He will also be creating a 90's style menu for this event.
So, if you remember the 90's or if you feel just a little bit nostalgic at the thought of the 90's, join in for the 90's Long Lunch! Ticket price includes a long lunch with wine and beer, and a 90's pop music soundtrack.

Pasta Battle is back and what fun this event is sure to be. You will have a four-course dinner created by The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide's 2017 Chef of the Year, Federico Zanellato. Also in the battle will be Federica Andrisani from one of Hobart's most popular restaurants, Fico and Joel Valvasori-Pereza from Lulu La Delizia. Joel is from WA and this year this restaurant was named Top Restaurant in WA in the Australian Financial Review's Top Restaurants Awards!

Smith & Daughters is a fabulous vegan restaurant known to many vegans around Melbourne. The Head Chef is Shannon Martinez, who has drawn vegans and non-vegans into this amazing restaurant. Her cooking is just so good that she attracts people who are not exclusive to plant eating.

California Soul Jason Neroni
This foodie event will have a range of canapes and grazing station with one of the coolest Southern Californian talents. Jason Neroni started his training at Alice Waters' Chez Panisse, California. This was a place that changed modern cooking forever - their ideals were produce first, techniques second.
Neroni opened the famous Spago in Beverly Hills and he was just 27 years old when he was appointed the executive chef at the renown Manhattan restaurant, 71 Clinton Fresh Food.
Such was his reputation that he was invited to serve as a culinary ambassador in Spain. Here he worked with some of Spain's best chefs at Arzak, Mugaritz and El Bulli.
As well as Jason Neroni at this event, there will be Sydney legend and MasterChef consultant, Monty Koludrovic. He is head chef of Icebergs Dining Room & Bar.
This will be such a fantastic spread with Neroni and Koludrovic working together to bring you a menu with one of the "coolest Southern Californian twists in town".

Australian food legends, Bill Granger, Stephanie Alexander, Ross Lusted and Neil Perry will explain to you the most important dishes, menus and cooking from the last 20 years!
Organising this project is Good Food editor, Ardyn Bernoth and former Good Food Month festival director Joanna Savill. It will be a three course dinner with matching wine and beer.
