www.glutenfreeexpo.com.auFor all the coeliacs and gluten intolerant tummies out there; get ready to have a day of indulgence without any pain, discomfort or nervousness when the Gluten Free Expo comes to town. Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31; Coeliac NSW & ACT along with principal sponsor Coles are bringing two days of sampling and purchasing opportunity for those who live a gluten free lifestyle. Just perfect for anyone who wants to extend their range and sample some new flavours without committing and breaking the bank as the event is free – why not make a day of it and take the whole family along?

Gluten free foods have increased drastically in the last five years as the effects that gluten has on many bodies has become more well known. Whilst the increased choice has been fantastic for those already battling the dietary intolerance, prices are still quite high compared to gluten-content counterparts and many labels can be misleading. Whilst most are aware that gluten resides in most doughs, pastas and cereals; lots of people don't know that gluten can be found in many sauces, yoghurts, frozen meals and drinks. This is your opportunity to see, sample and buy from one of the most extensive selection of goodies you will see in this state for the months to come and learn what products tick the gluten-free checklist.

Exhibitors include Cookie Crazy, Chang's Asian foods, Slendier Slim, Kez's Kitchen, the Gourmet Gluten Free Bakery and the San Diego Tortilla Factory just to name a handful with many others also hosting stalls alongside principal sponsor Coles. There will be products, information, recipes and also educational sessions run throughout the two days so not only will this be a great event to stock your pantry but to also learn a few more tricks of the trade to negotiate mealtimes.

Hall 4 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park is this years dedicated location; fantastic for those relying on public transport to get about as Olympic Park is serviced by regular buses and trains. Drivers don't need to fear either as plenty of parking is available. Click here for further transport and parking information. Opening hours are 12 noon to 7pm on the Friday (allowing a bit cheeky late night shopping) whilst Saturday is open 9am to 4pm. See you all there!
