Get a taste of the wildly vivacious side of the city at the Sydney Fringe Festival. Running across the whole month of September (and sneaking into October), the festival is a colourful bouquet of live performances, comedy acts and creative experiences that celebrate our talented local artists.

Venues across the CBD, Moore Park, Hurstville, Parramatta and the Inner West will play host to the stacked program of events blooming in this year's theme Paint The Town Pink! Immerse yourself in the flourishing Sydney art scene this September. Here are just some of the sparkly, quirky, and salaciously brilliant events you can find yourself at this year.

Note: All tickets can be purchased online from Tuesday, 1 August.

Crème De La Crème
12 September - 8 October

The circus-themed physical comedy show created by the team at Head First Acrobats is a perfect pick to experience Fringe. Having won awards at the Melbourne Fringe and Adelaide Fringe festivals, Sydney will have a chance to see what everyone is blushing about.

Crème De La Crème is a delicious cocktail of daring acrobatics and comedy skits topped off with a slice of cheeky nudity. The live performance playing in the Spiegeltent Festival Garden, Moore Park can only be seen to be believed. Find your seat and be ready to chuckle, gasp and applause. You're about to see the best of the best.

This event is for adults only. Price: $44.00

Bingay – The ABBA bingo show
Sun 1 October 2023

Sydney is a city for fun and randomness. If you haven’t sipped cocktails at a table of knitting needles or ordered pancakes from a newspaper menu in Circular Quay at 2.00am, it might be time to do something random.

An ABBA-themed drag bingo at Darling Quarter is not just out-of-the-ordinary, it is a hilarious night of music, dancing and naughtiness. Hostesses Charisma Belle and Naomi Palmer will make your Swedish dreams come true as they 'drop balls' at this uncensored (definitely adults-only) soirée.

If you have never craved a white onesie with flares in your life, you will after this night. Tickets to Bingay are $25 and will help raise funds for ACON’s health programs and services. Snap up your ticket fast!

Caribe Carnaval
Sat 30 September

Caribbean culture will be having a glorious moment at this closing event of the festival. Unlike the Olympics closing ceremony, however, this finale event will be full of energy and positive vibes. To help you say goodbye to Sydney Fringe in proper style, you will have four hours to dance into the night in Kensington Street, Chippendale.

Experience the sounds of DJs Carlo Xavier, Señor Bolivar, La Foxy Fuzz and Tropicante play tunes from a picó, a decorative sound system traditionally used in Colombian street parties. Dancers will also inspire the crowd to find their Caribbean jive. Join in the party and unleash your flamboyant self at the celebration to end the celebration.

This event is free to attend and starts at 6.00pm.
