Exciting and Colourful Summer Events
Watch Sydney come alive during the Sydney Festival a major arts festival which includes music, theatre, dance, opera and visual arts that runs for three weeks during January.

Between 8-25 January the Festival Village at Hyde Park North is an oasis of excitement and activities. Last week of the festival is family week and is jam packed fun program to suit every age.

Parramatta kicks off with a free Parramatta Opening Party on 9 January an open air street celebration happening around Parramatta Town Hall. Then you will find an awesome program of music, dance, circus and theatre at venues around Parramatta including Riverside Theatre, Parramatta Gaol & Centenary Square.

Some of the exciting performances will include:

James Thierree's Tabac Rouge appearing at Sydney Theatre, 22 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay.

Masquerade a much loved children's book running at Sydney Opera House between 9-17 January

The Kitchen - a healing show about the power of cooking at Seymour Centre 22-25 January

Atomic Bomb! - the Music of William Onyeabor 16-17 January at Enmore Theatre

Have I No Mouth - raw, real and affecting threatre 15-18 January at Seymour Centre

Long Grass - a powerful new dance work 14-18 January at Seymour Centre

Dancing for the Gods - Sri Lanka's dance rituals 2500 years in the making 8-11 January at Seymour Centre

The Experiment an audio visual journey to the dark end of ethics 15-17 January at Carriageowrks

Wot? No Fish a tribute to the extraordinary stories of ordinary people 13-18 January at Seymour Centre

Disco Dome an after-dark walking tour that will get you dancing through the streets of Parramatta 9-24 January at Information & Cultural Exchange

A Simple Space seven acrobats laugh at the rules of gravity 13-25 January at The Aurora
