for a drink and something to eat before seeing a show in the Walsh Bay Area.
It is an interesting industrial looking space with tables for two interspersed with group tables but there is plenty of room and a happy lively atmosphere. At night you can't see outside but you can watch the dance students arriving for the various classes that are held in rooms down the corridor.
The
menu is not large but offers a variety of flavours. Many of the dishes are perfect for sharing tapas style. We started with a delicious dish of pan fried cauliflower and chick peas that was spicy, earthy, sweet and nutty.
The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy and complemented by the delicious red wine jus. There is a good
selection of quality wines and beers as well as spirits and cocktails.
The chicken and mushroom pie was delicious containing large chunks of chicken under a light flaky pastry. The house made tomato relish was sweet and tangy and much better than any bottled sauce. The salt roasted potatoes and light salad completed the dish.
is a good venue for pre-theatre dining and they are also open for relaxed breakfasts and lunches. The friendly staff are happy to cater for functions (
02 9569 5158 M-F 10am-5pm for bookings and enquiries) such as weddings. Group bookings of more than 20 people have a preset banquet menu to choose from.
