Headlined by Bill Frisell Trio and Billy Childs Quartet

Tickets for the world-class Sydney Con International Jazz Festival are now on sale.

Presented in conjunction with the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy, this one-day-only festival boasts an exciting line-up of musicians from Sydney and around the world.

Held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, performances will take place in all five beautiful concert halls with their high-calibre facilities.

The Sydney Con International Jazz Festival showcases the crème de la crème of the Australian jazz scene through collaborative performances with international artists, new work premieres and masterclasses with an outstanding array of artists and music educators.

Esteemed guitarist Bill Frisell & multi-Grammy Award winner Billy Childs and their ensembles headline the festival. Also appearing will be pianist Vittorio Mezza (Italy) in a unique collaboration with the Mark Ginsburg Ensemble.

The festival also features the Australian National Jazz Orchestra playing the music of jazz legend Judy Bailey and some of Australia's top ensembles including the Ben Vanderwal, Marc Isaacs, Marc Ginsburg and Riffz2000.

The stars of tomorrow will be featured with 3 student ensembles, Sydney Con Big Band and the Cafe program will include Hammerhead, the Craig Scott Quintet and the Arthur Washington Sexytet.

Ben Vanderwal, Jamie Oehlers, Mat Jodrell and Kevin Hunt will be presenting masterclasses during the festival.
