There are several fun charity events happening in the month of May and here are the top five events which are suitable for kids and adults.


Memory Jog & Walk - 5th May 2013 (Sunday)
This fundraising event is organised by Alzheimer's Australia NSW in support of people living with dementia and their carers. It's an event catered for everyone regardless of your age and fitness level. You can run, walk, skip and dress up for the event. There are many ways to get involve in the fundraising event such as:
1. Entering the race (either as an individual, a family or a corporate team).
2. Raise money online (using social media to encourage the sponsorship from family and friends).
3. Sponsor or market a friend's team (support family and friends by donating to their fundraising targets).
4.Volunteer (Offer you talent and skills to work in a variety of roles).
5. Make a donation (Funding the Memory Walk & Jog event).
6. Run your own memory walk and jog (Organise you own Memory Walk & Jog event in your town).

The Great Tribal Chase - 5th May 2013 (Sunday)
Dubbed as Sydney's Amazing Race, this event is organised by the Good Beginnings Australia, a national children's charity. Tribe members will need to cooperate and have lateral thinking to solve riddles and complete the challenges in four hours. There are many prizes to be won!

Twenty Twenty Visions - From 16th to 18th May 2013 (Thursday to Saturday)
Twenty Twenty Visions is a unique exhibition of artwork based on the theme of Vision by twenty international renowned designers, artists and photographers throughout Australia and across the globe. Only 20 limited editions print are on sale from just $120 each instead of a few thousands. All money raised from the sale will proceed to charity supporting the Fred Hollows Foundation, an organisation focusing on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health. For just a donation of $25, you can help to restore a person's vision. Hence, you can change many lives through the purchase of prints.

Manly Scenic Fun Run - 19th May 2013 (Sunday)
Now running on its fourth year, this event is organised by the Manly Sunrise Rotary Club, a charity fundraiser supporting various charities such as the bear cottage, Manly Hospital, Manly community centre and Manly women's shelter to name a few. You can decide to participate in three options of fun & walk distances - 2km, 5km, 10km (run only). The 2km and 5km are both designed to be suitable for families and kids. They are also pram-friendly. Great prizes await those who raise the most money for the charities.

Australia Biggest Morning Tea - 23rd May 2013 (Thursday)
An opportunity to get together with family, friends and colleagues to have a cuppa with delicious food while helping others affected by cancer. This is a national fundraising event by Cancer Council Australia. There are several ways to get involved either by hosting a tea, finding a host, or sponsorship and donation.
