Would you like to stay switched on in 2017?

Jubilee Community Care is providing a free session to the older members of our community on how to understand the changes in the energy market.

The laws around electricity pricing have changed and energy retailers are now free to decide how much to charge for electricity. This may change the way electricity is charged on existing contracts but it also brings opportunities to reduce the energy bill.

On Wednesday, 8th of February 2017 at 10am at the Arana Leagues Club in Keperra, Jubilee Community Care, local aged care in home service provider, will be educating seniors on how to be switched on when dealing with energy retailers.

Jubilee Community Care has partnered with COTA (Council on the Ageing) Queensland to provide this free education and information session to equip the elders of our community with the knowledge and skills to understand their bill, compare offers, find potential savings and avoid pitfalls.

"We [Jubilee Community Care] want to empower older people and enable them to continue to make informed choices in our changing world." States Nicky Panagopoulos, Client Support Manager and Registered Nurse for Jubilee Community Care, local not-for-profit, for over 8 years. "We are passionate in enriching later life and supporting older people to live at home or with their families, helping them to stay connected and engaged in the community. This could be as simple as making a few savings with their electricity bill and we hope that many of our community join us for this free session and a tasty morning tea."
