Eltham College, Swipers Gully is a Hospitality Training Centre and fully-functional winery, café and restaurant. Just a short drive from Eltham and in the beautiful Yarra Valley!

Swipers Gully Estate is a boutique winery, set amongst rolling hills with rows and rows of grape vines, which look spectacular in Autumn, you can watch the leaves turning a golden colour. The vines are set on 5 acres and all vintages are made on-site by local winemakers. The wines are sold at the restaurant and several other local restaurants and via their
website.

Once you enter the cafe and restaurant, you are warmly greeted by enthusiastic and very welcoming Year 8 and 9 students. They are training and updating their skills in hospitality within the restaurant, with a particular focus on Year 9 students exploring employment and work experience opportunities within the Industry.
During the warmer months, take advantage of sitting outdoors to enjoy the views of the rolling hills in
Kangaroo Ground and the vineyard from the large expansive deck. It seems like a world away, where you can spot local native birds and an abundance of roos can be seen grazing in the distance.

A perfect stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner, catching up with friends or family or whilst waiting to collect the kids from school.

The
lunch menu is updated every term with a range of warm food, toasties, salads and hot drinks and cold beverages. A display of delicious cakes in the glass cabinet is tempting as the food is reasonably priced with a cake and coffee combo for under $10.
The
restaurant menu has a choice of 2 or 3 dishes, plus discounts for seniors. This is fine dining al a carte without the price tag.
Look out for special guest chef appearances throughout the year with local and international acclaimed chefs such as Stephen Mercer from Mercers Restaurant in Eltham. This provides students with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, in an environment that is reflective of top-quality restaurants.

Swipers Gully Training Restaurant will open each term with a new menu, Monday to Thursday – Doors open from 6.30 pm. The cafe is open Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 2 pm.
