Get your slide shoes on for an exhilarating evening of swing dancing and lindy hop entertainment as the WA Institute for Medical Research hosts the Dance for Life! Swing Dance Fundraiser for Cancer Research.

Not sure how to swing dance but would love to try? Well, you're in luck as there will be a FREE introductory class taking place on the night from 8.00 – 9.00pm to warm up the dance floor at the North Perth Town Hall - just email Anna at [email protected] to rsvp and register your interest – places filling up fast!

The party really gets cooking from 9.00pm onwards and is open for all dance stages – don't be shy, give the social whirl a try! There will also be some fun and fabulous feats on the night by guest dancers the Hullabaloo Hoppers and the Swing Zing Performance Team – more acts to be confirmed closer to – keep up to date on the Dance for Life's Facebook Page .

Entry is only $15 (cash sales please) and includes your introductory class, a generous smorgasbord of delicious platters both savoury and sweet (gluten free options available) from companies including New Age Buona Vita Organic Pizza , the Cheesecake Shop , and other local catering and patisserie companies delighted to support this worthwhile event.

You'll be in the running for door prizes galore with four $120 vouchers to be won from all the major swing dance schools in Perth, including Swing Zing , Perth Swing Dance Academy , Something Savoy and Swing It . The Perth Swing Dance Society has also donated a fantastic prize – a social pass to the 2013 Hullabaloo, a terrific swing dance weekend full of fun workshops and social dances that attracts dancers and teachers not just from throughout Australia but from all over the world.

Perth's premiere swing DJs Trevor Hutchinson, Shawn Rego and Michelle Turner will keep your toes tapping all night through, and don't forget to bring a little extra moolah for some extra fundraising fun and games on the night.
