'The only thing I seem to be successful at is failing, so I'm 'leaning in' to it' says Fairbairn, who won 10 awards for her first play Undertow in 2018, which doesn't seem very on brand. 'That's an island in the ocean of failure I've been riding these last couple of years, from parenthood to divorce the true awards I should have won is how spectacularly I have failed at life'.
